Enterprise Security’s Client Protection – Endpoint Defense service offers an agent-based solution to detect and stop the spread of malicious software threats (virus, malware, adware, etc).

Currently the agent supports these platforms:

  • Linux distributions including RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux and others.

The Endpoint Defense software includes core components for "next generation" antivirus / anti malware protections as well as:

  • Hardware device control (USB storage control)
  • Memory exploit mitigations
  • Host based firewall management
  • Host based intrusion prevention (IPS) 
  • Host integrity monitoring
  • Application whitelisting

The Endpoint Defense service can impact controls IT 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 which focus on the detection and prevention of malicious software.
